Additional Info

Soup Sister Volunteers are in essence the ingredient that binds the Organization and allows for its’ success and sustainability. Committed Volunteers across Canada oversee every detail of Soup Sisters events in their Cities from bookings to liaising with Culinary Locations and Shelters. Such autonomy and stewardship enables volunteers the opportunity to feel empowered and truly recognized as a fundamental component to the success of the Organization. Hundreds of community people are coming together across the country to produce over 10,000 servings of fresh and delicious soups for women, children and youth each month. Since March of 2009, over half a million servings of soup have been delivered to shelters from East to West, and there is a growing network of over 15,000 Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers participants across the country.
